THE POSITION

As a subsidiary of Montgomery Group, Afrocet Montgomery run the groups trade exhibition portfolio in Nigeria, West Africa. Based from the groups head office on Manchester Square the division has two well established market leading exhibitions.

Securex West Africa: The exhibition continues to build on the successful Securex brand which has been organised by the Montgomery Group for 10 years. An annual exhibition with clients comprising across multiple sectors within Commercial Security, Cyber Security, Safety and Fire Safety industries.

Propak West Africa is one of the largest and fastest growing exhibitions in the region. Its focus is on the packaging, processing, plastics and printing across the West African Manufacturing sectors. The exhibition is extremely well regarded both locally and internationally within the sector and will have high expansion expectations over the coming years.

Afrocet Montgomery are looking for a highly experienced individual to drive their commercial activities across the company’s well-established packaging and security portfolio’s in West Africa.

Working closely alongside a small, dedicated team, a key responsibility in the role of Senior Sales Executive will be to create a commercial plan across each event, successfully and efficiently implementing it alongside the marketing and operations teams.

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role working within event sales
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals in competitive environments, preferably from a B2B background

THE ROLE
  • Generate new leads/business and rebuild relationships with lapsed accounts
  • Generate new business through individual lead sourcing
  • Responsible for all new international incoming enquires generated from ex-prom marketing campaigns
  • Attend global competitor events expanding the database and prospecting for new business.
  • Sell value added services (sponsorship)
  • To be responsible for updating and maintaining the floorplan
  • Assist in exhibitor promotion of your area within the event
  • Effectively use and manage the CRM system
  • Arrange and attend client meetings wherever appropriate (UK based and overseas competitor shows)
  • Achieve and exceed agreed monthly targets
